Be thankful this day for reminders.
Reminders serve a purpose to let us know who we truly are. Everyday we are reminded of some aspect of our life and personality, whether it is past or present. When we have a reminder surfacing from the past, it is to let know who we are and release who we are not. When we are in the present moment and then reminded of a situation, this serves to let us not to forget our fundamental teachings and practices. We go through each day being reminded or our progress as an individual and a collective humanity. So what triggers the reminders?
Each day is different and operates on varying vibrational frequencies in each moment of the day, though we have daily routines. Each momentary situation presented is a reminder in-itself. It's a reminder of who we desire to be. With spiritual or any form of growth, at times we forget our fundamental teachings. The basics of what was learned go flying out the window, yet those are the same basics keeping us grounded. With any form of progression, we add to what was learned to improve self and others around us. The foundation of what is learned is different for everyone. How we are reminded about who we are as individuals are different too. The reminder can come as a situation or memory with strong emotional content. The reminders usually come when least expected. They lull us back to a place of acceptance and amazement. The question is; how do we continue move forward with the acceptance of progress?
As the old quote goes, "how do you know where you are going, if you don't know where you've been". At times we find our self in a stuck place; however we have been in a stuck place before and didn't know it. Most us now are aware when we are in a stuck place and use the learned tools to no longer be stuck. Reminders are one tool for becoming unstuck. Reminders are also life markers. The markers are charged with our own emotions and perceptions of self and from others. Times we are so bombarded with "worldly" perceptions of self through media and even go as far as thinking "am I like that" we forget who we truly are. The best reminders we have are our friends and family. They serve as a reflection for us. They are honest with us, not only for the relationship built, but from genuine trust and honesty expected and given. We can move forward by becoming unstuck through the reflection of progress. When we progress, we help others to do the same. We are each others’ own reminders.
A dear friend said to me and I will always remember this, she said "I love who you are and I love who you are not". It was my reminder to always be true to myself and accept the progress made, for I am, we are never the same as yesterday. At times we even change our daily routine to fit the progression made. Stillness is the heart opening up to let light of your desires in. We all desire to see the progress of where we have been our life here. Our life is documented through the reflection of reminders and how we are self-perceived.
Be thankful this day and everyday for the fundamental teachings we learned to strengthen us.
Be thankful this day and everyday for the reflections to move us to humble place of acceptance.
Be thankful this day and everyday for the gentle reminders to let us know who we truly are.
What
What was before
What is to comes after
Revealing the shift in all the mist
What matters now
What mattered then
What will ever matter
Knowing the first absolute
Accepting the wisdom of self
What is given to the wearer of fate
What makes you move
Are you moved
What makes you, You
What is it about you
You are about what
What is it all about
Pursuing questions
Answering what ifs and what abouts
Loosing time in the time
What is the mind of habit
Mind is creation of what
Creation is habit of the mind
What is purpose
The purpose of what
It is the purpose of what
A symbol of what
Etched in the meaning of what
The what of it is all has a life
What is the what and how did we get to what
Whatever
Forever what
